I am the Nordic Contact Relations Guy

Denmark’s greatest role-playing game convention is Fastaval, hands down.

I just penned an article about it, for the Swedish role-playing game magazine Sverox, expounding its greatness.

When I was done with the article, I contacted the man in charge of the coming Fastaval, and volunteered to be the con’s **Nordic Contact**. More international-oriented cons, and most LARP cons, like Knutepunkt, have this type of functionary. When we get guests and visitors from around the “Nordic globe”, I can answer their weird questions. I do understand Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and yeah, English. The biggest service I can give is maybe in the field of minimizing the clash of con culture differences. And making introductions, where needed.

At my first Fastaval, which was in 2003, I ran around a lot, getting ordinary things done, like sign in, get somewhere to sleep, and so forth. Things were just a tad differently organized, and not streamlined for the non-Danish visitor, so I lost some time there. This might be my karmic chance to give something back to the community.
