Electronic components refurbishing

Open worn-out electric appliance. Find its circuit board. Remove still-working parts. Reuse! Story about illicit refurbishing of components. Refurbishing strikes me as an eco-friendly thing to be doing, if done right and the consumer is conscious about it. Is there a downside?

Malmö At Jägersro Center the local electronics specialist Bejoken is joined by almost-an-institution Elfa (Jägershillgatan 20. Open 8AM-6PM Mon-Fri).
